There are a few signs that you may notice around your electrical panel that gives you an idea as to whether or not it needs to be replaced. Here is what you should look for:
– Look for any scorching or rust around the panel as this is a sign of damage.
– Your electrical panel should never be warm to the touch.
– If you have lights that are flickering, breakers that are constantly tripping or are unable to use multiple appliances at once without problems, this is a sign of an issue with an overloaded panel.
– You shouldn’t feel any electrical shock when you touch appliances or switches either.
– You shouldn’t see scorch marks on any of your outlets.
